Description
Old Mill House is an early 18th-century house that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a red plain tile roof with parapet walls. The building has two storeys, attics, and cellars. The main facade displays a three-window range of 18th-century vertical sliding double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in gauged arched heads, and is flanked by grey brick pilasters. A moulded and modillioned cornice runs along the top, and there are two gabled dormers. The house also has an 18th-century red brick chimney and a pedimented doorcase with moulded pilasters and linings. The east end includes a mid-18th-century extension in red brick, which is two storeys high with a parapet front and a red plain tile roof. This extension features a modillioned cornice and has a two-window range at the first floor and a one-window range below, both with 18th-century double-hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars.
