Description

The Cottages, located on Lower Road in Mount Bures, is a 16th-century hall house constructed with a timber frame and rendered elevations. This building consists of two tenements and features three bays, with the hall originally occupying the two eastern bays. It has a crown post roof and modern casement windows. The thatched roof is complemented by a central red brick chimney stack. The first floors are made of elm and have been intruded upon.
