Description

Fox Cottage is a 16th-century hall house that has been converted into a residential home. It features a timber-framed structure with plaster and a plain tiled roof. The building consists of four framed bays and stands two storeys tall on a plinth made of brick and rubble. The roof is hipped with gablets, and there are stacks located at both ends and in the centre at the rear. The windows are irregularly arranged, with four wooden casements on each floor, and there is a blocked doorway to the centre left. The current entry is through a boarded door located at the rear. Inside, the heavy arch-braced frame and close-studded walls are visible, showcasing the building's historic construction.
