Description
Mill House Old Mill is a water mill that has been converted into two houses, dating from 1759. It features a timber frame and is weather boarded on the ground floor, which is made of chequered red and grey brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building stands three storeys high, with the upper two storeys being timber framed and leaning significantly away from the road. It has paired modillion eaves beneath a hipped roof.
On the second floor, there are three wood casements and a shuttered window opening to the right. The first floor has four glazing bar sash windows and a blocked loft door to the right, while the ground floor features five glazing bar sashes, a boarded door to the right, and a door to the left with six raised and fielded panels, complemented by a traceried rectangular fanlight. A plaque in the center of the ground floor is inscribed with "R H 1759."
