Description
Radfield House is a house that dates from the 16th century and was altered in the 18th century. It has a timber frame and is clad with painted brick and plaster, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features a continuous jetty on brackets, a hipped roof, and a stack that projects at the left end. There are also two large stacks, possibly from the 16th century, that project at the right end. On the first floor, there are four glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has three canted bay windows. The entrance features a ribbed plank and stud door located to the centre right, which is set within a four-centred arched and moulded surround, complete with a moulded hood. The forecourt is enclosed by cast iron railings that are four feet high and extend approximately 40 yards, featuring fleur-de-lys heads on a brick base, with a central wooden gate.
