Description

The Haven is a 16th-century hall house that was floored in the 17th century. It has a timber frame that has been later faced in painted brick, with roughcast at the rear. The roof is steep and covered with black glazed pantiles, featuring half-hipped ends with gables. There is a modern addition at the west end, and an off-centre brick chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and has 19th-century casement windows with leaded panes. A plank door on the left leads to a cross passage. Inside, there are arch braces to the tiebeams, wind braces, and stopped chamfered ceiling beams.
