Description

No. 72 Church Road is a timber-framed house dating from around 1650. It features a T-plan layout with a crosswing at the south end, which has a lean-to along its south wall. The main range extends north for two bays and has one storey with an attic, including two gabled dormers. All elevations are rendered, and the roofs are ridged and gabled, covered with peg tiles. There are front doors to both the wing and the main range. The ground storey of the main range has one small hornless sash window, while the wing has a matching window on the ground storey and another above. A red brick chimney stack is located at the return of the roofs.
