Description

This is a mid-16th century building on East Street, originally comprising two storeys with attics. The building is timber-framed and now plastered, with a tiled roof. Number 26 has been modernized. An early 18th century wood modillioned eaves cornice runs along the front. The windows are modern, constructed in a neo-Tudor style and feature 3-lights with diamond lattice glazing. The upper storey projects beyond the ground floor. A six-panel door is set within a moulded architrave. Numbers 20 to 27 on East Street are grouped together for their architectural significance.
