Description
The Brewery House (Truman's) is an 18th-century house located on Colchester Road in West Bergholt. It is three stories tall and features a five-window range. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a slated roof with ridges and hips, as well as eaves. There is one red brick chimney located at the rear of the house.
On the ground floor, there is a flat-topped central porch that includes a round-headed doorway with a door featuring two Edwardian leaves. The porch is flanked by Regency-styled side-lights that are paned. The first and second stories each have matching ranges of five sash windows, all of which are set under stucco segmental arches. Originally, these windows had paned sashes, but they are now clear-glazed.
