Description

The barn adjoining and east of Boxted Hall is a 15th-century structure. It is three bays long and features a south midstrey. The walls are weatherboarded, and the roof is covered with corrugated asbestos. The barn has well jowled posts, steep arch-braces, cambered tie-beams, and a crown-post roof. It also includes flat studs and rafters, side-girts, and a double frame at the junctions.
