Description

The gate lodge to the east of Wivenhoe House dates from around 1800 and features an octagonal plan. It is constructed of brick and stucco, topped with a conoid slate roof that has lead bonnets. The lodge has a central chimney with two gothic-style shafts. Windows are present where they have survived.
