Description

Wivenhoe Park's stable block, built by Hopper in 1848, is a former stable now integrated into modern extensions for Essex University, connecting with the main house. The building is constructed of red brick in a Tudor style and features two storeys with a slate roof, shaped end gables, and a central wooden clock and bell turret above the carriage arch. It has a four-window range of one and two-light casements, some of which are modern, and all are adorned with hood moulds.
