Description
The North East Lodge to Westover, including the gate and gatepiers, is an early 19th-century cottage orne. The lodge is octagonal in shape with a wing extending to the left. It is constructed from flint, featuring stone window dressings and a slate roof with a stock brick chimney stack. Each side of the lodge has a five-sided casement window with stone architraves, containing six panes, some of which are blank. The doorcase is topped with a lean-to slate weather hood supported by wooden brackets, and it has a half-glazed door. The rear of the left wing includes one sliding casement window. There is an attached garden gate with wooden scrolled decoration. To the right side of the lodge, there are three octagonal stone gate piers, a wooden pedestrian gate, and a length of railing.
