Description

Rose Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage located in Calbourne. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble, with the front made of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring a band of vitrified headers between the floors. The cottage has a tiled roof with end brick chimneystacks and consists of two storeys with attics in the gable ends. There are two 19th century casement windows and a central six-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed and a later trellised weather porch. To the left side, there is a stone rubble lean-to extension. The gable ends display tumbling-in, and there is a catslide roof at the rear.
