Description

This is an 18th-century cottage, altered in the 20th century, built endwise to Winkle Street in Calbourne. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble with red brick dressings. The roof is now renewed with peg tiles, and there’s a renewed tiled chimneystack. The gable end features brick tumbling-in and stone kneelers. There are two blocked cambered arches; the lower one is partly hidden by a later lean-to extension. The building is listed for its group value.
