Description
Number 5 North Hill is a building from 1808, constructed of red brick. It has two storeys and attics, with dormer windows and a basement. The roofs are tiled, and the front features a parapet with a dentiled brick cornice. The façade includes a four-window range of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, painted reveals, and flat heads adorned with cast iron swags. There are small bowed balcony rails at the first-floor windows. A carriage entrance is located at the north end of the front, and several steps lead up to the central wooden doorcase, which has a decorated frieze and panelled reveals. This building is part of a group that includes numbers 2 to 10 North Hill.
