Description

The Cottage is an early 19th century cottage ornee, built between 1814 and 1840, possibly designed by Repton. It is two storeys high and features a double front with three windows. The hipped tiled roof has a central 'Tudor' stack that includes three diagonal shafts made of gault brick. The exterior is constructed from flint rubble and has 'Rustic' timber corner posts. There are semi-dormer windows with flat roofs and segmental arched heads, along with a boarded door. At the rear, there is a late 19th century lean-to made of red brick with a slate roof.
