Description

The Old Mill is a small 18th-century mill originally built in red brick with a square plan and one storey. Soon after its construction, a timber-framed wing was added on the land side. The original roof was fly-hipped with a central louvre, but it was later replaced with a ridged roof that has one hipped end. Inside, there are early 18th-century king post trusses with raking-struts, and the entire building is clad in slate. The mill was powered by a turbine, but no machinery remains.
