Description
This is an 18th-century barn located at Southwoods Farm, off Writtle Margaretting Road. The barn is constructed of red brick with a half-hipped roof covered in plain tiles. A large gabled wagon entrance is located off-centre on the west side, featuring weatherboarded fronting. A later wagon entrance, fitted with a 20th-century aluminium sliding door, is on the east side. Irregular openings and windows are visible in the gable ends.
