Description

A small, rectangular barn dating probably from the 18th century, situated north of Brickbarns Farm. It is likely the only surviving example in the county of a combined barn and dovecote. The north and south gables feature double walls extending from the eaves. There are 27 nesting holes in each gable, arranged in four rows containing 5, 6, 7, and 9 holes respectively. An alighting ledge is located below the row of 9 holes, with separate ledges provided for all other nesting holes.
