Description

CHIGNAL CHIGNAL ST JAMES 1. 5213 Brickbarns Farmhouse TL 60 NE 8/53 29.12.52. II A timber-framed and plastered house of early C17 origin. Renovated In the C20. 2 storeys and attics. 3 window range on the front. There is a small gable in the centre, The windows are mainly C20 casements, the ground storey has C18 double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and a C19 canted bay. Roof tiled, with an original central chimney stack with grouped diagonal shafts. (RCHM 8).
