Description

The barn at Chobbings Farm is a Grade II listed building that dates back to the late 14th century. It was converted from a house into a barn, likely during the late 16th or early 17th century. The structure is timber framed and weather-boarded, measuring five bays in length, with a gabled midstrey on the south side. The roof features a lodged side purlin design. Notably, complete sections of the original wall framing have been reused in the barn's construction, along with sooted rafters and ornately jowled storey posts.
