Description
The barn at Cherry Croft Farm is a late 16th-century structure that was extended and reclad in the 18th century. It features a timber frame and is clad in English Garden bond brickwork, with a decorative pattern created by vitrified headers. The roof is half-hipped and tiled. This five-bay barn includes an aisle to the north and a partially covered aisle to the south, which is interrupted by a projecting two-storey 18th-century extension that once provided accommodation.
On the north side, there is a low double cart entrance, while the south side has a taller double cart entrance with double doors. The projection includes casement windows and a first-floor loading door, along with a ground floor doorcase that has a cambered architrave. Inside, the barn features jowled upright posts, a queenpost roof, some curved windbraces, and parts of the purlins, with pegged rafters that do not have a ridgepiece.
