Description

A barn dating from the late 16th to early 17th century is located on Chapel Farm. The barn is timber framed and sits on a base of flint and stone rubble, incorporating large sandstone block dressings likely reused from a medieval chapel across the lane. The upper portion is clad in weather boarding, including some tarred weather boarding, and is covered by a half-hipped roof with corrugated iron sheeting. Inside, the barn comprises five bays with jowled posts, a queen post roof with purlins, and carved windbraces.
