Description

Cowslip Cottage is a 18th-century building with later additions, located on Cowslip Lane in Norbury Park. The cottage has two storeys and features a taller gabled cross-wing made of brick at the western end, while the rest of the front is plastered. The upper storey of the gable has one tall sash window, and there is another sash window below it. The east-west wing contains four one-light casement windows in the upper storey, and on the lower level, there is one sash window and one casement window with shutters, both featuring glazing bars. The entrance door has a flat hood supported by brackets. The roof is tiled, and there is a large central stack that has been renewed. At the back, there is a later parallel range with 19th-century details, along with additional structures at the north-east end. Inside, there are ceiling beams.
