Description

35 Main Street is an 18th-century cottage, altered subsequently. It is two storeys high and originally had one window. A one-and-two-window addition was built to the north end, and an outshut extends to the west side. The roof is slate-covered with a ridge stack on the gable. The walls are constructed of squared, coursed rubble, with long and short work detailing the quoins. There is a recessed sash window on the front, and the first-floor window features Yorkshire sashes. A recessed doorway is present, containing a panelled door. A former first-floor entrance to the street has been blocked, and the approach step has been removed.
