Description

The boundary stone of the former Knaresborough Forest, dated 1767, stands about two feet tall and has a square column with an arched top. It is inscribed with the initials "KF" and the date. This stone marks a boundary of the ancient forest of Knaresborough, which was enclosed in the 1770s following the 1770 Enclosure Act.
