Description
Nos 51 and 53 on Main Street in Pannal are 18th century cottages. Number 53 is two storeys high with two windows and has a two-storey, one-window extension at the west end, which is No 51, along with a modern addition at the rear. The cottages feature a Welsh slate roof with coped gables, kneelers, and ridge stacks. The walls are made of coursed, squared grit stone rubble with long and short work used for the quoins. The windows are modern sash and casement types with shutters, while the ground floor windows consist of three lights with stone mullions. There is a recessed entrance with a modern door.
