Description
Stevens Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of colourwashed brick with a hipped slate roof and brick ridge stacks. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall. The east elevation features a symmetrical arrangement of windows, with a 6-panelled door (two of which are glazed) set in a moulded wood architrave, flanked by Tuscan columns that support a Classical porch. Above the door, there is a 12-pane sash window, and the windows are adorned with cambered brick arches over 16-pane sashes. The north and south elevations each have a symmetrical two-window arrangement, also with cambered brick arches over 16-pane sashes. Each side has a central panelled door set in a moulded wood architrave, with a flat hood over the south door and a bracketed hood over the north door. To the west, there is a lower two-storey service range. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
