Description
The Church of St Nicholas is a small red brick church featuring blue brick diapering and a tiled roof. It was built entirely in the early 16th century, except for the north aisle, which was added in 1847. The west tower has an embattled parapet, diagonal buttresses, and original brick windows, showcasing good brick detailing. The south side of the nave and chancel also has well-preserved original brick windows.
Inside, the church features an original brick arcade supported by octagonal piers and four-centred arches. Notable fittings include a 16th-century brick octagonal font and a 17th-century pulpit.
