Description

The Poplars is the remaining wing of a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house known as Poplar Farmhouse, with a 20th-century addition at the rear. The building has two storeys, and the upper storey jetties out at the front. The windows are early 19th-century cast iron latticed casements. Inside, there is exposed timber-framing, some of which originally formed an external wall with a jetty. Notably, there is a 16th-century doorway featuring a four-centred head. The roof is tiled.
