Description

An 18th century timber-framed house, now rendered in cement, located on The Street in Roxwell. The house is two storeys high and has a two-window front. It features 20th century casement windows with leaded lights and two 20th century front doors. A central diamond-shaped panel displays the date 1796. The roof is tiled and hipped, with a large central chimney stack. The Bishops is part of a group of buildings that includes Cherry Tree Cottages, The Ferns, The Chequers Inn, Broadgates, The Church of St Michael and All Angels, Cottage End, Burrells Cottage and Rose Cottage, Tighshee and Willow Cottage.
