Description

The Ferns is a timber-framed and plastered house from the 18th century and later, standing two storeys tall with a range of four windows featuring casements. The ground floor includes a 19th-century brick bay window, a small 20th-century shop window, and two doorways that have hoods supported by shaped brackets. The roof is tiled. The Ferns is part of a group that includes Cherry Tree Cottages, The Chequers Inn, Broadgates, The Church of St Michael and All Angels, Nos 1 and 2 The Bishops, Cottage End, Burrells Cottage, Rose Cottage, Tighsee, and Willow Cottage.
