Description

Great Burches Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations. It has a timber frame that is plastered, and features red plain tiled roofs, hipped to the left and with a gabled wing to the right. There is a large plastered brick chimney stack on the left side of the two-storey range. The right range has two storeys and an attic, with a window arrangement of two sets of two 20th-century small paned casements, which have pentice boards above them. To the right, there is a 20th-century single-storey porch that has a recessed door and sidelights. This farmhouse is one of the two manors of Thundersley.
