Description
Hill Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof that is half hipped to the right and half hipped with a gablet to the left, featuring a wing at the rear. The building has two storeys and attics, with a four-window range on the road frontage, showcasing diamond leaded casements. There is a 20th-century part glazed board door located off centre, and a plain red tiled porch is situated on the rear right return. Inside, the farmhouse features moulded beams and stop-chamfered beams with jowled storey posts, along with three original fireplaces, one of which has an arched brick head. Additional original features can also be found throughout the property.
