Description

The cartlodge located in front of and to the west of Hill Farmhouse is an 18th-century structure. It features a timber frame and a thatched half-hipped side purlin roof. The cartlodge includes a door leading to a loft, although the floor of the loft is currently missing. It consists of two bays, with hanging knees supporting the tie beams, and halved and bladed scarf joints along with arched braces connecting to the top plate.
