Description

Vane Cottage and Dell Cottage are a pair of cottages built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are timber framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. The cottages have four bays facing northwest and feature a central stack, along with single-storey rear extensions. They are one storey high with attics. The front has four horizontally sliding sash windows, each with 12 lights, and there are three tiled gabled dormers: one dormer has a horizontally sliding sash window like those below, while the other two have 20th-century casement windows. The cottages also include one 19th-century plain boarded door and one 20th-century door.
