Description
Cherry Lawn and Fern Cottage are two attached houses from the 18th century, featuring later alterations and additions. They are timber framed and plastered, with some brick facing on the ground floor of Fern Cottage. The houses have a red tiled roof with a hipped gable and a glazed hipped dormer on the left side of Cherry Lawn. There is a moulded cornice and a grey slate roof on the right. Three red brick chimney stacks are present. Cherry Lawn has two storeys and attics, while Fern Cottage has two storeys. The first floor has a 2:1 window arrangement, and the ground floor has a 2:2 arrangement. There is a bay window on the left. All windows are small paned vertically sliding sashes with moulded surrounds. Cherry Lawn features a four-panelled door with a light and a plain surround, topped by a moulded flat canopy with moulded brackets. Fern Cottage has a two-panelled, two-light door with a moulded surround.
