Description
This is a range of barn, cartlodge, stable, and byre built in the 19th century, located approximately 30 meters southeast of Cardinals Farmhouse. The structure is made of red brick and features a grey slate roof. It has two full-height midstreys with moulded open pediments and a moulded brick eaves cornice, spanning eight bays. The roof is constructed with queen struts and a ridge board. On either side, there are lower stables and a cartlodge with hipped red tile roofs. The stable/byre includes six diamond-pattern brick ventilators, two double doors, and a stable door. The cartlodge consists of five bays. This building is a good example of its type.
