Description

The George Inn is a timber-framed and plastered building constructed around 1600, although it has undergone significant alterations and renovations in the 20th century. The southeast end features a 20th-century block, while the northwest block maintains its original structure, which includes two gables and a jettied upper storey at the front. The building has two storeys and a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars. The ground storey features three-light bay windows beneath the jetty. The roof is tiled and dates from the 20th century. The George Inn is part of a group with Nos 7 to 13 (odd) and Nos 29 to 33 (odd).
