Description

The dovecote, located approximately 15 metres east of Woolpits Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century. It is constructed from timber framing with plaster and features a brick plinth. The structure is square in shape and has a hipped roof covered with red plain tiles. At the top, there is a timber louvre, also with a hipped red plain tiled roof, which is topped by a weathervane. It is reputed to contain clay nests on the upper floor.
