Description

The dovecote located to the north of the wool barn is a late 17th century or early 18th century structure, likely built on the site of a dovecote mentioned in 1295. It has a square plan and is constructed from rubble. The building features a cross-gabled design with gulley blocks at the corners and is topped with a Cotswold stone roof. A small cupola with a ball finial is present on the roof. Inside, the dovecote retains a restored potence and the nesting boxes.
