Description

A house dating from the 17th century, altered in the 19th century. It is timber-framed, with plaster infill and a thatched roof. The house has four bays aligned east to west, facing north, with an axial chimney stack west of the centre and an external chimney stack at the east end. A single-storey lean-to extension with a shingled roof extends from the east end. The house is single-storey with attics. There are two plain boarded doors, each with a thatched gabled porch. A projecting shop window with a shingled roof is located near the west end, dating from the early 20th century. Two double-hung sash windows with four lights are from the late 19th or early 20th century. Two gabled dormers have 19th-century casement windows. The axial chimney stack has grouped diagonal shafts.
