Description

This is a barn located approximately 55 metres east of Spoons Hall, dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The barn has five bays arranged in a north-south direction, with a midstrey to the east. Notable features include jowled posts, heavy studding, primary straight bracing, face-halved and bladed scarfs in the wallplates, arched braces to the tiebeams, and a clasped purlin roof.
