Description
Lone's Hole (north) is a late 18th century cottage located on Codham's Lane in Shalford. The building has two bays facing west and features an external stack at the right end. There is a small single-storey extension with a catslide roof at the left end and another single-storey extension with a slate roof at the right end. The cottage is one storey with attics and has a two-window range of 20th century casements, with the upper windows set in swept dormers. A plain boarded door is located in the left return wall. The roof is half-hipped at the left end, and there is a 18th century wrought iron casement in the right return wall. This cottage is known as Lone's Hole (north) to distinguish it from the adjacent cottage to the south, which is also called Lone's Hole.
