Description
Rusling End Cottage (north) is a house that was originally a pair of cottages, dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame and has been encased in red brick, likely in the middle or later part of the 18th century. The cottage has a steeply pitched plain tile roof. The side facing the road is now the rear elevation, which includes a 19th-century lean-to extension that creates a catslide roof. The front elevation is two storeys high and has four 19th-century glazing bar casements, with the ground floor windows having segmental heads. The chimney stacks at the center and ends have been rebuilt at the top, and a wall plate is visible on the right side. There are also two hipped tile-hung casement dormers towards the road.
