Description
Lucas' Farmhouse is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, dating from the 17th century. It has a timber frame and is finished with roughcast. The building features a steeply pitched clasped purlin roof covered with plain tiles, and the gable end facing the road is plastered. The house is two storeys high and consists of three bays, following a lobby entrance plan. The entrance door is located at the right center and is situated below a red brick chimney stack with three joined square shafts. The door frame is moulded, and there is a flat hood supported by scrolled wood brackets. The front elevation includes three glazing bar casements. At the rear, there is a 17th-century gabled staircase tower at the far end, which has a small casement window on the first floor. Additionally, there is a rear lean-to that forms a catslide roof, along with a 17th or 18th-century lean-to on the road elevation.
