Description

This is a wall dating from the 17th century, located approximately 3 metres west of Brent Hall on Brent Hall Road in Finchingfield. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and begins about 3 metres from the southwest corner of Brent Hall, extending roughly 15 metres to the west. The wall features buttresses on both sides at the eastern end and stands about 2 metres high. It is mostly 0.33 metre thick, tapering wider at the base, and has a dogtooth course at the top along with moulded V-coping. The wall is listed for its group value with Brent Hall.
