Description
This is a red brick wall dating to the 17th and 18th centuries, approximately 35 metres long and 2.5 metres high. It is located on the south side of Lynton Parade in Cheshunt, opposite numbers 22 and 23. The western section of the wall dates to the 17th century, while the eastern section, which features regularly spaced flat buttresses joined to a continuous plinth, dates to the 18th century. The wall was likely originally a garden wall to Elm Arches. It is included on the heritage list for its group value with Elm Arches and Turner's Hill.
