Description
This is a house dating from the late 17th to 18th century, with later 20th-century alterations. It is timber-framed, with a rendered front and sides, and weatherboarding to the rear. The roof is of peg tile construction, in a gambrel style. The house is one and a half storeys high, with a two-window front. It features casement windows with glazing bars, including a two-light window with three panes, a casement window to the south with two-by-two panes, and a casement window to the north without glazing bars. A panelled door is located on the west side, and there is one dormer window with a peg-tiled roof and casement window. A central chimney stack is constructed of red brick and rendered material. Inside, the ground floor has exposed ceiling joists. A rear, 20th-century, weatherboarded lean-to extension with a dormer has been added. The house also incorporates 20th-century wooden casement windows and a door at the south end. This building possesses group value owing to its contribution to the character of the area.
